Nutrient Application Technician Licence

This course is a requirement for people applying nutrients to land on farms that are phased-in under the Nutrient Management Act (NMA) and require a nutrient management plan (NMP) or NASM Plan. The course outlines the regulatory requirements and Best Management Practices for people who apply agricultural source materials, non-agricultural source materials and commercial fertilizer to land.

You will learn about:

  • Your responsibilities under the Regulation
  • How to read a Plan (NMP or NASM Plan)
  • Minimizing potential adverse effects

Options:

Online – available anytime to complete at your own pace. 

Virtual Classroom – An instructor will teach the course live using Zoom. You do not need specific software or computer knowledge for this course, just an internet connection.

In-person Classroom – This one day course is offered at locations across Ontario from January - April each year.
